Melissa Oneil

MelissaMelissa Crystal O'Neil was born July 12, 1988[1].] She is a Canadian actor and singer. O'Neil, the first Canadian female winner of Canadian Idol's third season, won it in 2005. O'Neil is primarily known as an actress due to her role on Syfy as Two and as Rebecca/ Portia Lin as well as on ABC as Officer Lucy Chen in the ABC procedural drama The Rookie. She was placed in the bottom three and two contestants were eliminated. After being stunned, judges recommended that viewers vote for Melissa, who was clearly the most enthusiastic contestant. O'Neil's performance was consistently praised and O'Neil didn't fall back into the bottom three. Zack Werner, the judge, called O'Neil "a threat to win it all". O'Neil and Rex Goudie both made it to the second round of the show on September 7 the 7th of September, 2005. After another impressive performance, Werner declared that "The King [Kalan Porter] has passed away Long live Queen". O'Neil defeated Goudie in the grand finale results showon September 14, 2005. She was also named the third Canadian Idol and the first female winner.
